Making them of paper, Cardboard, leather, wool, felt, and now Milam, cotton string,,, the hats sold in gas stations, and neighborhood markets, In the early 1930's...colors were coconut brown, black, grey, olive green, and lite brown.
Lopez, Viquez, and Garcia families,   started to make hats for Zootsuiters and Lowriders and then  hats spread through
out the Southland. Lopez, Viquez & Garcia families made hat's for movie's like Boulevard Nights, American Me,
Blood In Blood Out, and Training Day 2. """"  But Not Made Of The Same Material "" Also, lowriders and Gangster movies, Famous Rapper  and many others. All hats were built in a small mom and pop shop in East L.A. And is now call FRANKS HATS in a small City of Chino Ca. All our material is now made  by family members in Mexico, who sends it to us already cut out, where we assemble the hats here and do the finishing touches for it's Unique look, The hat's come in all-colors, the out side band in made custom for your need, leather inner bands or Stretch Bands and real feathers, custom pendant on the out side and a pearl pin, for the true original look. All Lowrider's use the hat's to cruise Whittier Blvd.
